First Day of Kindergarten

Camping Trip

I didn't use my camera much this past weekend, until Aaron demanded that someone take a picture of him sitting on this stump.  It was at the Red Rock Campgrounds, which is aptly named.

We all had a great time exploring the rocks.

 

Glenwood Springs

We took a trip to Glenwood Springs this weekend.  We had a great time.  We hiked the Hanging Lake Trail, which is supposed to be the most popular trail in Colorado.  It wasn't an easy climb, with 1100 feet elevation gain, and it was crowded, but the payoff at the end was worth it. 

We also visited the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and the Glenwood Hot Springs pool (no pictures there, sorry). Aaron got to try out a climbing wall, and ride on a zip line. 

Camping at the Sand Dunes

This week, we went camping at the Sand Dunes.  Aaron had a blast playing with friends, hiking to High Dune, playing on "the beach", and checking out Zapata Falls. 

 

 

 

Preschool Graduation

Even though I like to make fun of the overabundance of graduations kids have as they progress through school, Aaron had a preschool graduation ceremony, and we went.  It was cute.

The Tooth

I vaguely remember Aaron saying that he hurt his tooth (evidently while trying to steal a cookie).  But a few days later, I realized that his front tooth is turning purplish.  After a quick visit with the dentist, we are left with two choices: remove the tooth, or get a root canal.  I think we will go with the root canal, but we will see how he does with the drill. 

To make matters worse, Aaron woke up with an ear infection this weekend.  To his credit, he hasn't complained at all about either one.  He is one tough kid.  Let's hope he stays tough with a needle coming towards his mouth.
