Cherry Blossoms, Part 2

I took Aaron back to see the cherry blossoms again this afternoon, since there are now in full bloom. I even remembered the camera! They are so pretty, that I don't think these pictures quite do them justice.

The Cherry Blossom Festival

The National Cherry Blossom Festival began this weekend in DC. There was also a kite festival at the Washington monument, so we headed down to check it out. It would have been a good opportunity to bring a camera. But no. We didn't.

So, here's a cute picture of Aaron in his Batman pajamas.

New Words

Yesterday was full of new words. It started with "nana" (banana), and continued with "snake", "shoe" and "mapple" (apple).

Sleeping at the Meal

I don't know how well this one nap thing is going. Every morning at about 10:00, he lays down on the dog's bed & puts his thumb in his mouth. So today, he fell asleep during lunch, even though I tried to serve a super early lunch. I wasn't fast enough with the camera to get a picture, so here's a picture of his newest discovery: cream cheese. He eats it on toast, even though it looks like he's eating it with a spoon.

What's That Smell?

About 90% of the time we are trying to leave the house (100% if we are trying to make it to an appointment on time), I gather up all of my gear, gather up this kid, then think to myself, "what's that smell?". Yep, it's the dirty diaper smell. I kind of suspect he's doing it on purpose.
